Great news! CMF donated over $7,000 in its 3rd year to various non-profit organizations. Click on the link below for details in our latest Newsletter.

CMF announced $3,000 donations to three non-profit organizations that provide support services to homeless population in Southern California. This is the second consecutive year of these donations made in memory of Greg Mehdi. The donations were made to the following organizations:
The Midnight Mission, Los Angeles — $1,000
Union Station Homeless Services, Pasadena — $1,000
Homeless Health Care, Los Angeles — $1,000

CMF announced $1,000 donation to the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation which funds research that helps dogs live longer and healthier lives. This donation was made in memory of Francis (AKC & International CH Schoolhouse Francis Rocks CGC THD), a Standard Smooth Dachshund owned by Diane Jones. Greg Mehdi’s Memorial Service
A memorial service, Celebrating life of Greg Mehdi, was held on Sunday September 7, 2014 at Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena. The event was attended by a large gathering of family and friends. Brunch was served and after that several speakers spoke honoring Greg. Please click on the link below for the program.
Qamar Zaidi was nominated and unanimously elected Director at a CMF Board meeting held in September 2014.

Sad news! Gregory Mehdi, a founding member of the Board of Directors of Carrie Mehdi Foundation and beloved son of Carrie and Zafar, was in a car accident and passed away on July 29, 2014. Fabulous News! Our 2nd Annual CMF Haute Dog Picnic on May 17th raised over $2,500. These funds will be donated to the non-profit organizations identified under the tab “Organizations We Help”. In Carrie’s memory, CMF donated $2,000 to California State Parks Foundation (CSPF) to have CSPF install a picnic table at Point Lobos State Nature Reserve in Carmel, California. Family and friends visited Point Lobos on September 14, 2013, to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of Carrie’s passing. Please click here for pictures taken there.

Good News! We have started accepting donations online with credit cards and Paypal account. A new tab “MAKE A DONATION” has been added to this website. Thanks to many who suggested that we add this convenience. Now you can pay online or mail the donation payment check to the address on the “Contact Us” page. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, therefore all donations are tax deductible. We appreciate all donations and will mail back a written receipt with our Tax ID number for your records.
